An Overview of the Walters State Web Structure

Walters State presently has two web servers: an Internet web server and an Intranet web server to provide information about Walters State Community College.

The Walters State Internet Web Server

The main web server for external users on the Internet is located at HTTP://WWW.ws.edu. The Internet web server provides access to Walters State information for users external to the campus. The Internet web server will host the following types of information:

• Any information that divisions or departments need to make available to the public.
• Listings of class schedules, college catalog, college calendar, and other public information
• All online class material and information. *

Consistent with the college's policies for other communications media, the Public Information department should review all material prior to publication on the Internet web server.  Additional policies and procedures for publishing information on the Internet web server can be seen at http://www.ws.edu/about/policies/.

* Classroom materials will be in a password-restricted area and will not require the review of the Public Information department prior to publication.
