Golf Team Tied For 16th At Nationals

GOODYEAR, Az. — The Walters State golf team carded a third-round score of 323 during the NJCAA Division II championship at the Palm Vallet Golf Course Thursday.

 

The Senators’ three-day total stands at 946, which places them in a tiw for 16th place heading into today’s final round,

 

Tyler (Tx.) leads the event with a score of 876. Darton (Ga.) College is now second with a team score of 882 while Mesa (Az.) is third at 886.

 

The Senators’ Luke Fullen is tied for 35th with a three-rounf total of 230 (72-83-75). Bowen Newgent is tied for 64th at 236 (77-82-77), Jeremy Cason is tied for 68th at 237 (74-77-86), Corbin Norton is tied for 107th at 249 (76-82-92) while Josh Jeffers is tied for 109th at 250 (79-86-85).

 

Garrett Smith out of Muskegn is the leaders after three rounds with a score of 214 (63-77-74).
