COLUMBIA, Tennessee – The Walters State softball team received a four-RBI performance from freshman catcher Gina Loflin en route to a 7-5 win over Roane State Sunday in the NJCAA Region VII tournament hosted by Columbia State.

With the victory, the Lady Senators are 32-16 on the season and square off against Columbia State at noon Monday.

Loflin had a two-run single in the first inning and a two-run double in the sixth inning. Winning pitcher Alyssa Shoun added two singles and three RBIs, Miranda Tounzen and Britani Fisher each chipped in two singles while Lauren Mynatt doubled.

Shoun allowed five runs on 10 hits while striking out seven and walking three.
