Students attending or planning to attend Walters State Community College are encouraged to apply now for academic scholarships for Fall 2017 enrollment. The deadline for submitting applications is March 31.
Walters State has numerous scholarships available to qualified students. Some scholarships are based on academic achievement, while others are based on need. Scholarships are approved by the WSCC Scholarship Committee.
Types of scholarships include those established for current college students, those taking college courses while still attending high school, and for returning adult students.
Students who do not meet academic requirements for scholarships funded through institutional monies may qualify for one of many endowed scholarships funded through the Walters State Foundation.
The Foundation awards hundreds of thousands of scholarship dollars each year. Many Foundation scholarships are directed toward students who reside in a specific county within the 10-county region served by Walters State.
