Nursing Pinning Ceremony Thursday

Walters State Community College will celebrate the accomplishments of 42 graduating nurses in a pinning ceremony at 6 p.m. on Dec. 14. The ceremony will be held in the “Z” Buda Assembly Hall and Gymnasium on the Morristown Campus.

Nurses are now qualified to take the test to become registered nurses. The program is two years, with many taking a third year to complete prerequisite courses. 

The ceremony features a Florence Nightingale pledge, which the graduates take by lamp light.
