High school seniors and their parents are invited to attend financial aid workshops at area high schools. (more)
Hawkins and Claiborne County high school students and parents are invited to financial aid workshops planned at area schools in November. The first is Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. at Claiborne County High Schools.
High school seniors and their parents are invited to a financial aid workshops planned for November 5 at 6 p.m. at the high school. A second workshop will be 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 10 at Cherokee High School in Rogersville. The workshop will be hosted by Walters State’s Financial Aid Office. Students planning to attend other colleges are also encouraged to attend since much of the information will apply to any college.
The workshop will cover the types of financial aid available and the financial aid application process. Those attending will learn about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the Tennessee Hope (lottery) Scholarship, state grants, loans and scholarships. Door prizes will be given away and one attending senior will win a $500 grant to Walters State.
