Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business - Culinary Arts

The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business Culinary Art is offered at Walters State's Rel Maples Institute for Culinary Arts located on the Sevier County Campus. Students can earn the A.A.S. degree in culinary arts with an emphasis in either hot foods or baking and pastry. The A.A.S in culinary arts prepares students for successful careers in food preparation, cooking, baking, kitchen or restaurant management and non-commercial food service.

Technical Certificate in Culinary Arts

The Technical Certificate in Culinary Arts is offered at Walters State's Rel Maples Institute for Culinary Arts located on the Sevier County Campus. Students can earn the technical certificate in culinary arts with an emphasis in either hot foods or baking and pastry. The technical certificate in culinary arts is designed to provide fundamental skills in food preparation, cooking and baking.

Scholarships

The Rel Maples Culinary Arts Program has two scholarships specifically designated for the culinary students. The Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce scholarship funds scholarships of up to $2500 per semester. The Culinary Arts Scholarship is funded by gratuities from student driven events and varies from semester to semester.
