Celebrate Spring with Walters State
April 6, 2018

•Walters State Community College Spring Choral Concert features five different groups –including a new group from the college’s Greeneville/Greene County Campus – and a very diverse collection of music. The concert is at 7 p.m. on April 17 at First United Methodist Church in Morristown. Admission is free.

•The 10th Annual Cliffys Film Festival and Awards will showcase our student film makers. This begins at 11 a.m. on April 19 in the theatre of the Judge William H. Inman Humanities Complex. Admission is free.
•An Evening of Bluegrass featuring High Lonesome Senate will be April 19 at 7 p.m. in the theatre of the Judge William H. Inman Humanities Complex. Donations will be accepted for the college’s Folklore Club.
•The Walters State Community Band spring concert will be April 22 at 3 p.m. in the “Z” Buda Assembly Hall and Gymnasium, located inside the Dr. Jack E. Campbell College Center. Admission is free. 
•The Walters State Student Art Exhibition will be featured in the Catron Art Gallery April 27-Sept. 7. A reception honoring student artists will be held on April 27 from 5-7 p.m. in the R. Jack Fishman Library. Admission to the gallery is free and everyone is invited to attend the reception. 
•Travel back to the 80s with the The Spring Pops Concert featuring the Walters Sensations, the college’s show choir, will be on April 27 at 7:30 p.m. or April 29 at 2:30 p.m. in the theatre of the Judge William H. Inman Humanities Complex. Admission is $10 general and $5 for students. The box office opens an hour before show time. Reservations may be made by calling 423-585-6922 between 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. 
 •”Music from Stage and Screen” will be in CAPE-104 at  p.m. on April 30. Performers include the Walters State Sevier County Concert Choir, the A Cappella Choir and select soloists. Admission is free
•The Walters State Community Chorale Concert will be at 7:30 p.m. on May 3 at First Presbyterian Church, Morristown. Admission is free.
•The Walters State Jazz Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. on May 1 in the theatre of the Judge William H. Inman Humanities Complex. Admission is free.
