Walters State Spring Choral Concert is April 17

Walters State Community College Spring Choral Concert features five different groups –including a new group from the college’s Greeneville/Greene County Campus – and a very diverse collection of music. The concert is at 7 p.m. on April 17 at First United Methodist Church in Morristown. Admission is free.
The Greeneville Campus Senators Singers are directed by Kathryn May and accompanied by Lena Carver. Selections include “Think of Me” and “The Lord Bless and Keep You.”
The Women’s Ensemble will perform “Time After Time” and “What a Wonderful World.” The group is directed by Laura Ritter and accompanied by Dr. Ryan Garber.
The Men’s Ensemble will perform “Nearer My God to Thee” and “Deep River.” This group is directed by Dr. Bernardo Miethe and accompanied by Matthew Mimbs.
Selections performed by the Walters State Concert Choir include “My Spirit Sang All Day” and “Make Our Garden Grow.” The choir is accompanied by Ritter and accompanied by Garber. 
“Africa” and “Uptown Girl” are two of the selections planned by the Sensations Chamber Ensemble. The group will also perform Gregg Perry’s arrangement of “Irish Blessing.” Eight soloists will be featured: Trey Johnson, Aleks Miller, Chase Baxley, Amanda Guinn, Matt Byrd, Jessica Witter and Macie Roberts.   

The Sensations Chamber Ensemble is directed by Ritter and accompanied by Matt Mimbs.
