Work Ethic Expert Offers Training Nov. 10
October 19, 2021

Josh Davies is coming to Walters State to share why it is important to “Bring Your ‘A’ Game.” Davies’ training session is sponsored by the Division of Workforce Training and will focus on work-ethic training and working with unique populations. The training is 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on Nov. 10. The cost is $295. A train-the-trainer package, which includes needed materials and workshop tools, is available for $595.
“Josh Davies is a well-known speaker nationally in education, economic and community development circles,” said Dr. Anita Ricker, assistant dean of workforce training at the college.

“His training is built around the ‘7 A’s of Successful Workers.’ This training will help get new employees off to a good start, which is so important now.”
Ricker said the training is good for human resource officials, high school counselors, faculty and adjunct faculty members, principals and teachers, and those working in vocational rehabilitation and job search positions.
Davies is CEO of The Center for Work Ethic Training. His presentation includes discussion on the growing work-ethic gap in America and how it impacts companies and individuals. He will also go over his unique training philosophy and the curriculum developed around that philosophy.
“Those attending can expect this workshop to be highly energetic and interactive. You can start using what you learn the next day,” Ricker said.
Those attending the workshop will receive a certificate of completion.
