Elijah CodyElijah Cody
SGA Freshman Representative

My name is Elijah Cody and I am the SGA freshman representative. I hope to be available and helpful to any student who might need their voice heard at Walters State. I’m a freshman from the little town of Mohawk. My major is psychology. I am involved in the Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) and would encourage anyone interested to come check it out. We have food at the BCM every Wednesday around lunchtime. My future plans are wide-open to some degree, but my short term plan is to go back to Africa as a short term missionary to the children of Uganda. After graduation from Walters State, I hope to complete my bachelor’s and master’s degrees at UT. Long term, I want to be a counselor to children. I’m not sure where that will take me – maybe on a church staff, somewhere in a mission field or simply in an office where I can offer help to children who are going through emotional or physical pain. I love Tennessee Vol football and sports in general. I love traveling, supporting America’s armed forces, hanging with friends and meeting new people.
