Our Associate of Applied Science in Business with a management concentration will
equip you with the skills and knowledge for entry-level positions and career advancement
in management for government agencies, small businesses and corporations, and industry.
This degree is designed for students wanting to enter the workforce immediately following
graduation from Walters State. Some courses may transfer to a four-year institution
for those who want to continue their studies. Programs within the college's Division
of Business are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
The Business Presentations Badge
BUSN 2390 - (3 credit hours)
The Business Presentations badge is awarded to individuals who have completed a course on formal presentation skills in a business context. Badge earners demonstrate skills in accountability, self-confidence, teamwork, interpersonal communication, and multimedia presentations, including proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, Excel, and Teams. These skills give them a competitive edge in the business marketplace.

Students must apply, meet admission requirements, and be accepted by Walters State Community College (WSCC).
Tuition is set each June by the Tennessee Board of Regents. Tuition and fees for the current academic year may be viewed on the Cashiers Office website.
Four types of financial aid are available; federal, state, institutional and other sources. Students need to send FAFSA information to the college for consideration for state and/or federal money (lottery scholarships, Pell grants, etc.). WSCC is an eligible institution for Hope (lottery) scholarships. For specific information please contact the Financial Aid Office.
