The Student Success Advising Center supports students in the development of meaningful educational plans that are compatible with student’s education, career, and life goals. The Center assists students with academic advising, course scheduling, transfer plans, and resources for student success.
Academic advising is the process of students meeting with their academic advisor to determine educational goals and needed course work for their major. All students must meet with an academic advisor in order to register for courses.
After being admitted to Walters State, remember to activate your MyWS account and check regularly. You will receive a MyWS alert when it is time to complete online New Student Orientation. After completing online Orientation, you will be contacted by your academic advisor to schedule an advising appointment. During a New Student Advising appointment, advisors will:
