Student Orientation

About Orientation

New Student Orientation is designed to give first-time degree or certificate seeking students an overview of important information pertaining to attending Walters State Community College and ensure a successful start on a new academic journey. Upon completion of orientation, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment with your academic advisor. The academic advisor will assist you with class selection and registration. In addition, your academic advisor will support you in the development of your educational plan as you strive to reach your future goals.

First-time degree or certificate seeking students will be notified in their MyWS account and via Senators Mail when New Student Orientation should be completed. New Student Orientation will become available when registration opens each semester. New Student Orientation is required for all first-time degree or certificate seeking students.
