Walters State offers Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of Science in Teaching degrees for students planning to transfer to four-year colleges and universities. To make transferring as seamless as possible, Walters State students have a guarantee that their credits will transfer to a public university in Tennessee through the Tennessee Transfer Pathway program. Walters State also has articulation agreements with numerous colleges and universities. Course equivalency tables are great resources for understanding how your credits will transfer. It’s very important to work closely with your academic advisor when choosing classes that will transfer to a particular four-year institution.

Walters State has several resources to assist students in finding the career that is right for them. Academic advisors guide students through the career decision-making process, connect them with faculty who are experts in their chosen field, and assist in choosing classes that will help students toward their career goals.
Walters State offers many resources to guide students in making the right course selections for their areas of study. Academic Advisors meet with every student each semester to assist with course selection and registration and can help students navigate these advising tools.
