Culinary Arts Student

WSCC Career Ready Badge Our Technical Certificate in Culinary Arts prepares graduates for careers in baking, pastry, and hot food preparation. As a student, you'll learn the fundamentals, from knife skills to food preparation to meal planning. Small class sizes and a variety of cooking/service spaces guarantee that every study will receive individual attention from this ACF-accredited program. Credit hours earned in this program can be applied to the Associate of Applied Science degree in Culinary Arts. This degree is designed for students wanting to enter the workforce immediately following graduation. It is not intended for students wanting to transfer to a four-year college.

Funding Your Education

Tuition is set each June by the Tennessee Board of Regents. Tuition and fees for the current academic year may be viewed on the Cashiers Office website.

Four types of financial aid are available; federal, state, institutional and other sources. Students need to send FAFSA information to the college for consideration for state and/or federal money (lottery scholarships, Pell grants, etc.). WSCC is an eligible institution for Hope (lottery) scholarships. For specific information please contact the Financial Aid Office.
