Overview - TTP - A.S. Criminal Justice
The TTP Associate of Science, Criminal Justice, is a great degree for individuals
who desire to enter or advance in criminal justice. This degree is designed to prepare
individuals to enter the criminal justice field or to advance their current careers.
An associate’s degree in criminal justice opens many doors and provides new opportunities.
Courses include corrections, law enforcement, criminal justice and sociology. The
degree can be completed in two years outside of any needed learning support classes.
Graduates work as corrections and law enforcement officers, investigators for various
state agencies and judicial jurisdictions, and as parole/probation officers. This
program assures that credits will seamlessly transfer to any public university in
Tennessee, covering 50 different majors with established transfer pathways.

Students must apply, meet admission requirements, and be accepted by Walters State Community College (WSCC).
Funding Your Education
Tuition is set each June by the Tennessee Board of Regents. Tuition and fees for the current academic year may be viewed on the Cashiers Office website.
Four types of financial aid are available; federal, state, institutional and other sources. Students need to send FAFSA information to the college for consideration for state and/or federal money (lottery scholarships, Pell grants, etc.). WSCC is an eligible institution for Hope (lottery) scholarships. For specific information please contact the Financial Aid Office.
