November Workforce Training Classes Include OSHA, Excel, Supervisor 101

Three noncredit classes will be offered in November.
Noncredit Classes Teach Excel, OSHA Safety, and Excel Level 1
Walters State’s Division of Workforce Training will offer three noncredit classes
in November: Supervisor 101, Microsoft Excel Level 1, and OSHA 30-hour Safety Training
for General Industry.

Offered at Multiple Campuses
- Microsoft Excel 2016 Level 1, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Nov. 5, $150
This class focuses on the basics of this popular spreadsheet application. Learn to create, save, edit and print documents. Also explore formatting, create formulas, enter functions and work with page layout. This class can be taken at the Niswonger Campus, the Morristown Campus or the Newport Center.
Offered at the Niswonger Campus
- Supervisor 101, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Nov. 5 and 12, $399
This two-day, comprehensive workshop focuses on the essential areas of supervisor responsibility. This class is great for those moving into supervisor roles and experienced supervisors who need a refresher in effective management. Students completing this class will finish with better communication skills, management tools that will guide work for efficiency and quality, and the ability to delegate and coach employees. - OSHA 30-Hour Safety Training, Nov. 18-21, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., $449
This workshop is offered in conjunction with Tennessee OSHA. Training is designed to ensure that workers are more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights. The knowledge gained from this training may reduce downtime and possibly save lives. This course is recommended for front-line supervisors, safety committee members or safety professionals.
