Learn to Weld or Improve Your Current Skills

Learn to weld or improve your current skills through Walters State’s Welding Level 2 (MIG) class. The class meets on Tuesdays, Aug. 18-September 15, 4-8 p.m. in the welding classroom at the Walters State Great Smoky Mountains Expo Center. The cost of the class is $379. MIG welding refers to the gas metal arc welding process. This is used extensively in the manufacturing industry. It is easy to learn and highly productive. This is a hands-on class focused on the basic concept of spray welding, industry standards and safety. The class also covers standard equipment set-up, selection of joint and weld position, and out-of-position welds. Safety is always stressed. All assignments are self-paced. The cost covers all needed equipment.
