The purpose of the Division of Business is to prepare individuals to assume careers in business, industry, and government. Business courses necessary to complete the first two years of a Bachelor of Science degree in Business are offered for students who plan to transfer to a university. This degree results in the Associate of Science in Business.
Career programs are also offered in Accounting, Agriculture Business, Business Management, Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Paralegal Studies. These programs are designed to develop skills necessary to assume paraprofessional positions in business and professional offices.
Individuals who wish to upgrade or enhance their business skills may also choose from a variety of courses offered by the division.
Badge earners will demonstrate skills in accountability, self-confidence, teamwork, interpersonal communication, and multimedia presentation development. They will also show proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, Excel, and Teams, which provide a competitive edge in the business marketplace. This digital badge is awarded to individuals who complete this course with a "B" or higher grade.
Business Presentations
BUSN 2390 - (3 credit hours)
The Business Presentations badge is awarded to individuals who have completed a course on formal presentation skills in a business context. Badge earners demonstrate skills in accountability, self-confidence, teamwork, interpersonal communication, and multimedia presentations, including proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, Excel, and Teams. These skills give them a competitive edge in the business marketplace.
