Honors Program

The Honors Program at Walters State provides students with opportunities to gain the highest level of academic challenge and quality leadership from dedicated faculty who share a commitment to excellence in teaching and service.

The program is designed for students who have an outstanding academic record, who are academically motivated and desire an intellectual challenge. Students accepted into the Honors Program will complete honors-level assignments and projects in approved courses specified in their program of study. Out-of-state students who meet TN residency requirements and are formally accepted into the honors program may be eligible for an out-of-state tuition waiver.

Graduates who complete 18 credit hours of Honors coursework will receive an Honors designation on their WSCC diploma.

  •  Valid Accuplacer average score of 263 or higher (scores must be less than five years old)
