The Learning Support Reading program assists students in developing the ability to read effectively, recognize different purposes and methods of writing, differentiate personal opinions and assumptions from a writer's opinions and assumptions, use texts and reference materials, and develop a functional college-level vocabulary. Learning Support co-requisite reading courses help students develop the ability to read effectively at a level necessary to successfully complete college-level studies.
These co-requisite courses are required if a student is placed in learning support reading.
