Administrator Named To Leadership Institute
September 1, 2022
A Walters State administrator is among 32 Tennesseans named to the statewide Complete
Tennessee Leadership Institute (CTLI).
Amy Humphrey, director of advising and student success, will be part of the seventh
cohort of CTLI, a joint initiative of the State Collaborative on Reforming Education
(SCORE) and The Hunt Institute. The one-year program works to equip community and
state leaders with the strategies, tools and knowledge to play a leading role in eliminating
barriers to postsecondary education and completion in Tennessee. In partnership with
The Hunt Institute, SCORE will provide learning opportunities for the 2022-23 CTLI
participants and support cohort members in translating that learning into action.
“I congratulate Amy on her selection and look forward to the ideas she will bring
back to Walters State while being part of CTLI,” Dr. Tony Miksa, president of Walters
State, said. “This is a great opportunity to work with others in higher education
to improve student achievement.”
Humphrey joined Walters State earlier this year. She has over 30 years of experience
in higher education and student services.
