Division Of Humanities Plans Spring Events

Walters State Community College has released its schedule of spring humanities events.
These events are free and open to the public.
Morristown Campus Events
• Music Cabaret, March 25, 7:30 p.m., Theatre, Judge William H. Inman Humanities Complex.
This concert features Broadway hits of yesterday and today.
• Student Art Exhibit, April 13-27, Catron Gallery, R. Jack Fishman Library.
Selections of student artwork from the 2022-23 academic year.
• Morristown Jazz Band Concert, April 25, 7:30 p.m., Theatre, Judge William H. Inman
Humanities Complex.
• Choral Concert, 7:30 p.m., April 25, First Presbyterian Church, Morristown. This
concert features the Chamber Choir, Men’s and Women’s Choirs with special guests,
Morristown West Women’s Choir.
• Cliffy Festival, April 27, 11 a.m., Theatre, Judge William H. Inman Humanities Complex.
The student film festival showcases the creative talents of film students in three
different categories: music videos, fiction films and documentaries.
• Morristown Community Band, April 30, 4 p.m., Theatre, Judge William H. Inman Humanities
Complex.
• Festival Choir Concert, May 2, 7:30 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, Morristown.
• Art Exhibit: Judgmental INK, July 10-Oct. 27, Catron Gallery, R. Jack Fishman Library.
This exhibit features the photography work of artist and adjunct instructor John May
focusing on people and their tattoos.
Sevier County Campus Events
• Student Music Recital, March 21, 7 p.m.; Conner-Short Center, Room 105.
Enjoy an evening of live music performed by applied brass, piano and voice students.
Music repertoire ranges from classical to contemporary.
• Sevier County Community Band and Choir Concert, April 24, 6:30 p.m.; Sevier County
Campus Courtyard.
Enjoy music by the Sevier County Community Band and the Sevier County Campus Choir.
Bring your lawn chairs and settle in for a night of fun music. In the event of bad
weather, the concert will be held in Room 105, Conner-Short Center.
• Spring Choral Concert, April 29, 7 p.m., First Baptist Church, Sevierville.
This concert features the Concert Choir, the Chamber Choir, and the Men’s and Women’s
Ensemble. Donations will be accepted.
