Fall Concert Planned Nov. 16
The Walters State Morristown Campus Concert Choir and Chamber Choir will
present a fall concert at 7 p.m. on Nov. 16 at the First United Methodist Church in
Morristown. This concert is open to the public and there is no charge.
Choirs will be conducted by Dr. Elissa Hodge, director of music and theatre,
and Clay Oglesby, instructor of music. Kathy Bowen will be accompanist for the concert
choir and Matthew Mimbs will be the accompanist for the chamber choir. Choirs will
also be accompanied by a string quartet featuring Helen Bryenton, violin; Robyn James,
viola; Margaret Moore, violin and Sarah Eskola, cello.
Planned selections for the chamber choir include Narverud’s “Season of
Light,” Isaacson’s “Light the Legend,” and de Victoria’s “O Magnum Mysterium.” Selections
for the concert choir include Harlan’s “Make a Joyful Noise,” Brymer’s arrangement
of “Change” and “Once Upon a December,” arranged by Snyder.
The concert will end with Walters State choir alumni invited to join in
singing “An Irish Blessing,” arranged by Gregg Perry.
