Zuniga to be at Walters State Sept. 26

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Singer, Speaker
Singer and motivation speaker Joe Zuniga will be speaking at 12:45 p.m. on Sept. 26
in the Lyceum of the Dr. Wade B. McCamey Student Services Building on the Walters
State Morristown Campus. The event is free and is open to the public. This is part
of the college’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Zuniga’s music has been recognized by the Caravana Musical Awards and the Tejano Music
Awards. He is also a noted motivational speaker who shares how he overcame a bad start
in life. He was expelled from high school and served five years in prison. He uses
his experiences to encourage today’s youth to avoid the mistakes he made.
He currently splits his time between Tampa, Florida, and Monterrey, Mexico.
