February 18, 2025

The Trojan Women
The Walters State Music and Theatre Department will produce "The Trojan Women" in April.

Auditions Planned Feb. 24-25 for "The Trojan Women"

Walters State’s Music and Theatre Department will hold auditions for the spring production of “The Trojan Women” on Feb. 24 and 25 at 7 p.m. in the theatre of the Judge William H. Inman Humanities Complex on the Morristown Campus.
The play is based on an ancient Greek work by Euripides, a classical Greek playwright. Like the original, this adaptation is a tragedy focused on women during the Trojan War. The play’s concept is modernized and presented in a very different way.
Auditions are open to community members as well as students. No preparation is needed. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Performances are scheduled April 11-13 and April 18-19.
