Next Generation Placement Exam

 

Who may take the ACCUPLACER NG Exam?

The ACCUPLACER Next Generation exam is available to any student who is interested in improving their entrance placement status in reading, writing, and mathematics. In accordance with Tennessee Board of Regents Policy, entrance placement is determined as follows:

  • First-time freshmen may submit ACT/SAT subscores in reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • First-time freshmen may also submit SAILS Math scores on tests 1-5.
  • Transfer and Transient students must submit transfer transcripts and may submit ACT/SAT/SAILS scores.

In accordance with TBR Policy 02:03:00:02, students without ACT/SAT/SAILS scores or transfer coursework will automatically be placed in Learning Support co-requisite reading, writing, and mathematics courses.
