Teens Will Love These Great Classes!

Alive at 25, Ham Radio Technician Start Sept. 15
Walters State will offer two classes for youth beginning Sept. 15. Alive at 25 is
for ages 15-24 and focuses on good driving judgment during those critical early years.
The other is Ham Radio License class.
The National Highway Safety Counsel’s Alive at 25 for drivers will be held from 5-9
p.m. April 15 on the Morristown Campus. The cost is $40. This highly effective and
interactive class is taught by Gary Lowe, chief security officer for Cornerstone Christian
Academy and retired Morristown Police Department major. The class teaches the importance
of personal responsibility and decision-making skill for young drivers. No actual
driving is involved. This class is for drivers between the ages of 15-24.
The Amateur (HAM) Radio Technician License class will meet on Mondays and Tuesdays
from Sept. 19-Oct. 14 from 5-7 p.m. on the Morristown Campus. The instructor is John
Ellenburg. During the last class, students will take the Federal Communications Commission
licensure exam. Students must be17 years of age to register for the course. The class
is $45, with an additional $15 exam fee and a licensure fee of $35.
