Artists to Visit Campus
This work by Annie Rochelle is part of the exhibit “In Limerence,” the current exhibit at the Catron Art Gallery, located inside the R. Jack Fishman Library on Walters State’s Morristown Campus. The college plans a series of art events, including a visit by Rochelle, in November.

Artist Visits, Ceramics Workshop, New Exhibit Planned in November

Walters State Community College wants to fill your November with art! These events are free and open to the public. All are on the Morristown Campus.

• Artists in Residence, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Nov. 4, 11 a.m., Judge William H. Inman Humanities Complex Theatre
Current artists in residence Talia Drury, Sam Christian, Evelyn Kline, Thomas McIntyre and Marret Metzger, will discuss their work.        
• Sam Chumley Ceramics Workshop, Nov. 10, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Room 137, Judge William H. Inman Humanities Complex
“Watch and Learn” workshop with this artist, known for his diverse work in ceramics. This workshop will focus on ceramic surface treatments.
• Annie Rochelle Artist Talk, Nov. 12, 2 p.m., Catron Art Gallery, R. Jack Fishman Library
The artist will talk about her work, including the gallery’s current exhibit, “In Limerence.”
• Gallery features M. Kobe Ling’s “A Minute Shorter Than the Longest Night of the Year”
Ling works primarily with textiles, natural objects and “lucky” items. The exhibit runs through March 25.
