Choirs, Bands and More!
Scheduled performances include the Morristown Jazz Band, the Sevier County Community Band, the Morristown Community Chorale and more, featuring both students and community members.
- John Rutter’s Requiem, Nov. 2, 6 p.m., First United Methodist Church, Morristown
Both the Morristown and the Sevier County Campus Chamber Choirs will join the First United Methodist Chancel Choir for a performance of John Rutter’s Requiem. This event is free. - Fall Semester Community Chorale Concert, Nov. 18, 7:30 p.m. First United Methodist
Church, Morristown This unique group is comprised of Walters State students and community
members who enjoy singing choral music.
- Morristown Campus Jazz Band, Nov. 25, 7:30 p.m., Judge William H. Inman Humanities
Complex
- Sevier County Campus Community Band, Dec. 1, 7 p.m., Sevier County Campus, Connor-Short
Center. This band features Walters State students and people who love playing their
instruments. The band includes professional and amateur musicians. Admission is free.
- “A Winter Choral Concert” with the combined concert choirs from the Morristown and
the Sevier County campuses, Dec. 5, 7 p.m., First Baptist Church, Jefferson City.
- Morristown Campus Community Band, Dec. 7, 4 p.m., Morristown Campus
This concert features a collaboration between veteran musicians and students. The concert is free. Donations will be accepted toward the Walters State Foundation Fund for Band.
