CNA Course Coming To Sneedville

Walters State Community College will offer the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course at Hancock Manor in Sneedville. The Class meets Aug. 9-Oct.20, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-9 p.m. The cost of this class is $899, which is a 25% discount on the normal cost.
This class teaches basic patient care, including personal hygiene and assistance with everyday activities such as eating. Students also learn how to take vital signs and recognize and report symptoms that may indicate illness. Students spend 35 hours of supervised clinical patient care in a long-term care facility. 
Graduates often work in long-term care facilities like Hancock Manor. Others may work in home care or hospital settings.
