Walters State Offers First Electricity/PLC Camp
Walters State students discuss PLC programming.
Walters State Community College invites high school students to be part of the first Basic Electricity/Programmable Logic Controllers Camp. The camp will be July 18-July 21 at the college’s Niswonger Campus in Greeneville. The camp meets 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. The cost is $199.  

            

Students will gain hands-on experience with electricity and PLC, programming functions into a computer for automation and manufacturing purposes. This camp includes hands-on skills combined covering both AC and DC voltage. Students will learn how to measure voltage. Students will be actively engaged in building a functional program with PLC. Students will learn how to navigate software and process each programming component.
