Auditions for Crimes of the Heart Feb. 26, 27 at Niswonger Campus
Walters State will hold auditions for “Crimes of the Heart” at the Niswonger Campus
in Greeneville at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, and Tuesday, Feb. 27. Auditions will
be held in the Lyceum.
Auditions are open to the public. Non-students are invited to apply. No theatre experience
is needed. Auditions will consist of readings from the script.
“Crimes of the Heart” combines tragic and comedic elements to create a memorable story
centered around three sisters. The play debuted in 1981, receiving a Tony and a Pulitzer
Prize for writer Beth Henley. The 1986 film version starred Diane Keaton, Jessica
Lange and Sissy Spacek.
Performances will be held April 12-14 and April 19-21, with Friday and Saturday evening
shows and Sunday matinees. The production will be held at the Niswonger Campus.
