Fall Prevention Event Sept. 18
Walters State’s Occupational Therapy Assistant and Physical Therapist Assistant students want to help you prevent falls. The college’s annual Fall Prevention Event will be held on Sept. 18 on the college’s Niswonger Campus in Greeneville. Fall Prevention Event Set for Sept. 18 at Niswonger Campus

Walters State’s annual Fall Prevention Event will be offered from 10 a.m.-noon on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the Walters State Niswonger Campus in Greeneville. The free workshop is presented by students enrolled in Walters State’s Occupational Therapy Assistant and Physical Therapist Assistant programs.   

Those attending will receive individualized assessments of any potential fall risk, education on fall prevention techniques and handouts on possible home modifications. Students will be working under the supervision of occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.
