Learn Skills That May Save a Life
Walters State’s first Stop the Bleed class will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Monday, Nov.
3, at the college’s Sevier County Campus. The cost is $50. The class is sponsored
by the college’s Division of Workforce Training.
Students will learn how to recognize and respond to life-threatening bleeding emergencies.
This includes controlling severe bleeding. Individuals experiencing severe bleeding
can die in as little as five minutes. Skills learned in this class could save a life.
This training is great for medical students, safety managers, emergency personnel,
first responders and others. No prerequisite training is required.
